Privacy Policy

Information we collect

• Account information — your email address, created via Google sign-in or email/password.
• Site and competitor data — URLs you add for tracking, the content we scrape from those pages, and the prompts and AI-generated results we produce from them.
• Free review submissions — the URL you enter and your IP address, used for rate-limiting and, as described below, marketing purposes.
• Billing information — handled directly by Stripe; we store your subscription plan and status, not your card details.
• Usage data — basic request logs kept for security and debugging.

How we use it

We use this information to:

• Run scans, generate results, and operate your dashboard.
• Process payments and manage your subscription.
• Send product emails — scan results, digests, and account notices — which you can turn off individually in Settings.
• Identify domains that ran a free review or were added as a tracked competitor, for retargeting and prospecting — for example, uploading a domain list to an advertising platform's matched-audience feature. We do not sell this data to third parties, and we do not use it to send unsolicited marketing email.
• Maintain security and prevent abuse of the free review tool.

Who we share it with

We use the following service providers to operate Scan My AEO, each of which processes data on our behalf:

• Supabase — database, authentication, and hosting.
• Vercel — application hosting.
• Stripe — payment processing.
• Resend — transactional email delivery.
• Firecrawl — web page scraping for scan content.
• Google Analytics — website traffic and usage analytics.
• Anthropic, OpenAI, xAI, Perplexity, and Google — the AI platforms we query, on your behalf, with the prompts your scans generate.

We do not sell your personal information.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Settings — this cancels any active subscription and permanently removes your sites, competitors, scan history, and tokens.

Cookies

We use cookies for authentication (keeping you signed in) and for Google Analytics, which helps us understand how visitors use the site. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party ad trackers on the site itself.

Children's privacy

Scan My AEO is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
